Privacy Policy

Usage Lab is a usage-metering API run by Marc Stevens in Ontario, Canada. It is currently in test mode; no live payments are processed.

What we collect

Usage events you send to the API (meter names, quantities, timestamps, subscription/customer identifiers and idempotency keys you choose to include). We use them only to compute your usage rollups.
Account details such as your email address if you contact us or sign up.
Basic technical logs (e.g. IP address, request time) kept by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, for security and operations.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details; Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data you give them.

Sharing

We don't sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run the service (Cloudflare for hosting, Stripe for payments) or when required by law.

Please don't send sensitive data

Usage events should contain metering data, not personal or sensitive information about your end users.

Retention and your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing us. We delete account data on request, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

We will update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
